Two simultaneous organ transplantations at Schneider Children’s gave two children a new lease on life. A 12-year-old girl, who had waited for a new liver for over a year, underwent a liver transplantation at Schneider Children’s at the same time as a 3 and a half-year-old toddler received a new kidney. Both children have been hospitalized in the intensive care unit following their respective surgeries and are expected to recover well
