Medical Development for Israel, Inc. (MDI) is an American not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1982, to provide financial and technical support for the delivery and improvement of health care in Israel. The organization's lay leadership consists of prominent Americans who share a dedication to MDI's prime mission and to its present priority: Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel (SCMCI). MDI features a national Board of Directors; a Medical Advisory Board; an Executive Committee to set overall policy; and a small staff, with offices at 295 Madison Avenue, Suite 1705, in New York City.
In the last 20 years, MDI has raised funds for new facilities, equipment, patient services, research and education in hospitals, clinics, and research institutes in Israel.
